That sounds like a great idea and one that would really benefit the community. I'll join that discussion.

I know of a case where Google Docs is beinged used by folks to publish content to drupal due to the familiar interface. This comes with the danger of really messing up the design MySpace style.

You can always buld the a custom menu with fat links termed how you would want them. No matter what system, training to make them comfy with it would be good. I'm in the non-profit world and I'm working on a project using it. I also do consulting work related to drupal so maybe I could help w/ training etc. Or hosting/maintaining it.

I'd say drupal usability is a subjective topic at this point; however, it is also a major issue in the drupal 7 development as the result of several usability tests provided by various places.

hotwire is apparently meant to merge the GUI and the CLI into one more comfortable interface. Whether you'll find it more comfortable or not, I don't know, but it is an interesting approach worth knowing about.

I can't duplicate the problem with Heron, FF3 including various plugins of which firebug is one. I just floated around Google Analytics some and can't recall it ever crashing on tha before. Did you upgrade or do a clean install? Mine was a clean install.
